Joanne Travers, a former Mass AG Bell President, will lead our parent advocacy training. Joanne is a life coach and parent advocate with two adult children mainstreamed with hearing differences. She is a trained parent advocate. She served as advisor to the Commissioner of the Deaf in Massachusetts and in 2015 was a Case Manager for the State Commission of the Deaf, advocating the needs of deaf and hard of hearing children in public schools.

Katie Jennings, M.E.D., will share some tips for advocating from a teacher's prospective. She is the Assistant Director of Clarke Schools Boston, where she closely works with families, professionals, and students ranging from early intervention through high school. Before working in Boston, Katie taught in New Orleans Public Schools. Katie has been a mainstream Teacher of the Deaf for 10 years.
We have a lot of information to share – Mass AG Bell Board members including adults with hearing loss and parents of children with hearing loss will be on hand to answer questions! Please join us!
